Posted: Wed May 02, 2007 10:45 am Post subject: Connecting Netgear FR114P router to Motorola VT2442

Hi everyone,
I have 7 machines on my home network. However, as the VT2442 only has 4 ports, I need to have another router. This second router (Netgear FR114p) doubles as a print server. The VT2442 is plugged in directly to the cable modem and I use one of the ports on the VT2442 to connect to my second netgear router. Right now when I want to print I have to pull out the cat 5 cable from the VT2442 and put the cable into the netgear router.

Is there a way to be plugged into the VT2442 router and print from the netgear router? Even better, is there a way to be able to see my shared files if one computer is plugged into the VT2442 and the other computer is plugged into the Netgear router?
