"I'm going to call the cancellation department in the morning. (shame on them for only working Mon-Fri) Their competitors will happily give me a brand new adapter if I sign up with them and port over my number."
Careful.
You cancel before you complete the port of your number and that number can't be ported - and stays with Vonage. |

I finally spoke to someone with authority, explained that I was a long-term customer, and said they had one last chance to save the account. They spend millions of dollars to get new customers, while letting the loyal ones get away over silly little issues that are easily resolved. (very short-sighted business practice, since long term accounts are proven more profitable than new customers who may or may not be around next month.)
Long story short, they replaced the adapter and I'm staying a customer. (see Vonage, wasn't that easy?) |
