I prefer to access voicemail online, and I also get the same error when I try to change my settings to e-mail notification and attach WAV file. Also I am often away from my phone, and find it easier to go online for voicemail than dial into the phone system.
I was able to listen to voicemail from my phone today, but not yesterday.

Well, I've been having the same issue, and when I try to use voicemail from my phone, it's been stalling out, nothing but silence after a few seconds of prompts.
Now my wife is at home trying to run a conference call before taking our daughter for a checkup, and the calls are going to my cellphone, which we have set it to do if our service is down....except our Internet connection is fine, it's just Vonage.
