has anyone else noticed that click2callu doesn't work properly today (calls your Vonage number, but not the other party)
Is it? Is it reliable on a regular basis? |

I've tried to contact support 3 times on this already. They don't understand.
I wonder if the email support is answered in India as well.
I'm now guessing that click2callu is unsupported and unloved. Too bad because it is a way kick ass feature way ahead of its time. |

Vonage Customer Care
The sad part was that Customer Service in India told me to uninstall and reinstall the app.. When I asked them if there was a known issue with Click 2 Call, the answer was no. Sigh.... |

Does this happen often? Is this such a forgotten "feature" that it could be down for days?
This is my absolute favorite Vonage feature (click2callu web interface) and now it's gone! |

I never use this feature, I just think it is easier to dial the number on the phone, but Vonage should make sure it is a working feature. |

Well, I finally called and got through to someone very helpful in New Jersey.
It took some 'splaining to do, referencing 3PCC (third party call control) but the issue is related to click 2 call application, which apparently is still down. WOW! almost a week.
They are "updating servers." i seriously wonder if it will ever come back.
If anyone has any inside information or other related information, please post! |

People need to learn that "updatitng servers" is techno-babble intended to get low-tech-level complaining customers to shut up and go away. It almost guarantees that it's _not_ the cause of the problem.

From what I hear they really did update the servers(possibly adding stuff for Verizon workarounds?). They said it broke click-2-call and v-phones. V-phone were obviously fixed pretty quickly but click-2-call seems to be on the back burner. I guess its not really one of there "essential" applications and is not impacting phone service, but it is nice to have. Hopefully they work it out soon.
Mjstraw, you are correct, Vonage's level 1 support always says they are "updating" when they have a service outage. NJ support, or "Advanced" tech support normally gives you a better idea what is wrong. I have heard from multiple people that this was the result of a server upgrade, and I have not reason not to believe them. |
