It is the same with different channels and with Linksys firmware and also tomato. going now to try out the linksys Voip unit. |

Most of the third party firmwares have a function for doing a scan of the local area to see what other wireless networks may be active.
Also, of course, if you have any 2.4GHz cordless phones, you may want to consider replacing them with some other frequency, as 2.4GHz is also the frequency range that wireless networks work on.
One thing that can help a bit is a set of higher-gain antennas, if you problem is simply signal strength and not interference. They are pretty readily available, and not terribly expensive. I know Staples and Best Buy had them last time I was in. |
