Post subject: VTech IP8100 W/ Regular Phone
Is it possible to have both the VTech IP8100 adaptor and the inital
Vonage
adaptor used at the same time?
We have purchased the VTech IP8100 for wireless connectivity to the
Vonage
service but have now decided to use regular phone in a spare bedroom. The issue we have run across with this is that the VTech IP8100 does not have a regular phone jack on the adaptor.
If I call
Vonage
, which I'd rather not do because it takes an hour, will they be able to have both adaptors on the account at the same time or will we have to pick one or the other?

Your phone number can only be associated with one adapter at a time, so if you re-activate the initial wired adapter it will de-activate the V-Tech. The closest you are going to get to what you want is if you purchase a standalone cordless phone and put a splitter on the back of the
Vonage
adapter(one side to cordless phone, one to bedroom phone). Also, if the initial adapter still appears on your account there is no need to call
Vonage
to move your number around. Just log into your web account, and choose the move-a-line option under add-ons.
