When I get a call waiting (BEEP) it knocks off the first call I was talking with, most of the the time it knocks both calls off. I have never gotten to use the flash button yet. Has anyone had a problem like this? If so how did you fix it. |

What Vonage adapter are you using and what firmware version is it running?
The WRT54G and RTP300 had serious problems with call waiting early on, but they were resolved well over a year ago. Unfortunately, not all the WRTP54G units automatically upgraded their firmware due to memory limitations, so you have to turn off wireless for a while to free up enough memory to do the upgrade from 1.00.20 or so to the next revision. Once it gets past that one hurdle, though, firmware upgrades are smooth sailing from there on. |

It's not, and I don't know if the 11/2006 firmware you refer to is the current one. May be worth a call to Vonage tech support. |

What is your network setup in-front of the VTA? The only time I have heard of anything close to this was when someone was using a business class cable modem/router with something they called a SPD filter/firewall in it( I think it was the Netgear CG814W, but I could be mistaken, can't find the post now). The filter for some reason was seeing the addition of a second call as an incoming attack and blocking off the IP temporarily causing both calls to drop. They eventually just turned off the filter and the issue stopped occurring. |

I just have a regular 3meg service. I have it going into my wireless dlink router. The phone adapter is plug into the first port of the router. From that router I run one wireless computer, 2-1gig hardwire computer. Then a 8 port d-link router. The rest of the house house outlets plugged into that. The only thing is plugged into any of those outlets is a network computer. So really not much hooked up. I only have one phone hooked up and it is a base unit for a 4 phone set up. It is a uniden phone. Nothing really to exciting. Thanks for all the support, I hope maybe this will help. I heard from Vonage suggested that I plug my phone directly into the phone adapter. I have it that way, so I don't know what they will wont me to do next. |
