Hi. I have a VTech IP8100-1 and a Dlink VWR. I want to run the comcast line into the Dlink VWR and then into the VTech. When I do this the phone wont work and i get a error saying that my provisioning is not working or something. I called Vonage and spent over 1:30 on the phone and finally gave up cause well i dont speak indian!

Plug ths units in one at a time. When you plug them in, they will get their account information from Vonage (usually via tftp). Once the account info is there - you can move them around. One other thing to verify is the IP range of both. If both are 192.168.15.x then change one to 192.168.16.x or anything else that doesn't conflict with other devices that you have in your network.

Howie is right: change the IP of the VTech to 192.168.25.1 before you connect it to the VWR; they are still both Vonage devices and you are trying to daisy chain two Von devices with same IPs

A few things to check to start.

-Did you change the IP address on the VWR device?
-If you did, did you also update the DHCP address range under the DHCP tab?

- (Assuming you are running windows) Click on start, then click on run. In the open field type 'cmd' and click ok. Now in the new window that opened type 'ipconfig'. This will tell you the IP address and gateway your computer is getting(if any) from the VWR's DHCP server. Make sure it is valid, if you are not sure post it here and I am sure myself or someone else can take a look at it and let you know.

- Vonage routers often have some problems with DNS resolution. Try to go here: http://64.233.161.99 if it opens google, but going to www.google.com does not, then we know it is a DNS issue.
