this probably sounds like a stupid question, but how many total handsets come with the tru8860-2?
i have read conflicting descriptions online about it. i have seen where there are two handsets (the base, plus one expansion set) and i have seen descriptions where it states that there are two expansion sets (for a total of 3 handsets when you include the base). can someone please give me some clarification?
if you can get the base and two handsets for under a hundred, i'm fully jumping on it, even though i don't really need three handsets at this time.
if the set only includes one expansion, then i'll just order the base now and the additional handsets as they are needed.
thanks in advance |

The 8860 from Staples for $49.99 only comes with a base and ONE phone. The one from Amazon has a "-2" after the product code, and comes with base + handset, Plus one expansion phone. It is on sale now for $89.99 , but is OOS. |

The -2 means 2 handsets total. For awhile Costco was selling TRU8885-3's, 3 handsets. There's no difference between the base stations when they come packaged with/without other handsets. They all have the same features and support additional handsets. |

I just got Vonage and after I ordered it I also ordered the Uniden UIP1869V. It's a desktop phone with built in adapter and a separate cordless phone. Works awesome. Gave Vonage the MAC address and it was working in 2 minutes. I ordered it from their website. Check it out. |
