Vonage gets used as and when their calling price plans are acceptable. They are not the only Voip provider, and are by no means the cheapest on the market. I am only using the voxalot option as it has more flexibility instead of adding the details direct to the adapter. |

Please provide manual url and page number where it shows how to configure the adapter to register with Vonage.

??? - I don't have the manual with me, but it's pretty straightforward, all you need to do is put in the Vonage details in the relevant fields: Username/phone number, password, stun server if needed, etc... it's exactly the same details as if you were configuring a softphone to work with a Vonage account. |

For Instance ...
Display Name: The phone number for the Vonage account User Name: The phone number for the softphone account Auth User: The phone number for the softphone account Password: (your password) Domain: sphone.vopr.vonage.net SIP Proxy: sphone.vopr.vonage.net:5061 Outb Proxy: sphone.vopr.vonage.net:5061 Sip proxy: 216.115.25.198
Does that help? |

Is that how you configure it in voxalot, or how you would do it directly in the vanaccess unit?
I'm interested in the vanaccess unit.

Either. Once you have the basic settings for your Vonage or any other Voip account, you can place these in any softphone or hardware phone or adapter, or in my case in the voxalot account which I then add dialing plans to, so that the call is least-cost-routed dependant on the destination ... ie voxalot and/or the adapter decides who to use to dial .... ie free calls anywhere.... |

I have no doubt that voxalot can do the routing. And your adapter is configured with voxalot as the Voip provider.
What I can't find is any documentation for the vanaccess units that shows how to do the same thing with the adapter alone. Everything I find on their site talks about configuring each analog port with single SIP settings, and the ability to route pstn vs Voip, but nothing about configuring or routing to multiple Voip numbers.
BTW - one of the manuals (225 I think) had a few place where it referred to itself as a "handy-tone 488" which is a grandstream product. Like someone did an incomplete edit of a manual? Perhaps one of the companies makes both products?

Hello Mark,

The VanAccess unit that will support multiple SIP accounts and allow multiple FXS port routing and configuration is the VanAccess GW0224. Each FXS port will have its own SIP account, however, this unit will allow you to set the dialing plan. Also, this unit allows you to use two SIP accounts under one ITSP. Here is the link to the manual.

If you're looking for something simple which will support two SIP accounts, we have the VanAccess GW0222. Each FXS port will have its own SIP account, but they do not have to be from the same ITSP. Here is the link to the manual. Once you access the web configuration interface, you will find a page which will allow you to configure the SIP setting for FXS 1 Port and FXS 2 Port.

Thanks, Henry. I'll check it out.
What is the relationship (if any) between vanaccess and grandstream?

No problem, Mark!

VanAccess is in no way related to Grandstream. VanAccess carries products which are equal or better in in quality, function, and design, but are lower in cost than Grandstream.
