I have Time Warner in my area and every time I call their customer support phone number I get a female automated voice telling me "The number you are trying to reach can not be dialed from the phone your using" I have a normal phone like anyone else. Could someone with Vonage and a normal phone dial them and see if you get the same message? It's 1-866-4TWCNOW (1-866-489-2669) I'm wondering if Time Warner is purposely blocking Vonage users from phone support, their email support claims 24 response.. its actually more like with in 24 days response(seriously).

It didn't work from mine either. It could be the infamous "local 800 number" problem. Some 800 number subscribers only accept calls from what they consider to be their service area. Vonage calls all appear to originate from the Vonage system in New Jersey, so these calls can be a problem.

Same here. I called the number that you provided and got the same recording that you described. Weird!!!! If I was a Time Warner Sub, I would go to an office and raise some hell!!!

That may be the correct number for your area, but Time Warner Cable's customer service number depends on the area you are in. For example, for Columbus, Ohio customers it is 1-800-617-4311. And to add confusion, my community is on the border of their regions. One town south of my town uses the Toledo, Ohio region and our town (north of the other) uses Columbus. Doesn't make sense. You probably already know that going to their website and asking for customer service requires you to declare your area by zip code. Then, in my case, you literally have to dig through the website to find a customer service number. I usually find it easier to go to roadrunner.com and start a chat session.

So far they haven't cause me grief about Vonage other than having blinks on their system which kills all my Internet and I have to reboot my cable modem. But if they did, I know where their office is at and, as a friend once told me, when you are in their face they can't hang up on you. Lol Of course I watched him throw the phone in his office across the hall and through the wall one day when he was talking to BellSouth. I guess it is better he use the phone. Rolling Eyes

You are right that the number I posted is for North Carolina and the phone number I personally have is a Pennsylvania phone number. I still think it is messed up. To me that means they have not caught up to pace with technology. Guess I'll have to deal with it or get a direct phone number.

I would recommend a direct telephone number, or the main number.

I'm on Comcast, so my number's always the same, regardless of the location. You might want to go hit up the Time Warner main website to look for a main number, or if that's still giving you some issues, depending on how often you call them, might be easier just to use a cell.
