If you are having problems, rest assured it is Vonage's problem right now. I picked up my phone to make a call, didn't get a dial tone, so I logged into the router and was informed it couldn't connect to the Vonage login server.
I called Tech Support (for the very first time in my 2 years of service with them), and much to my dismay I got an Indian guy who was hard to understand. After going through some tests, he finally tells me "vonage server is down, most customers cannot connect". "It's down for most customers"
Let's hope it's back up soon.... Vonage is going to get slammed by other companies for this. |

I was affected also yesterday, it was down periodically over a 4 hour period. I saw the notice in my web account and didn't both calling in. |

I must be the luckiest customer on Earth. All of this posting about outages and I haven't had a single outage. The Internet gods must look kindly on Ohio. |

No problems in PA.
Not trying to minimize the issues others may be having, but it's not as though Vonage is imploding. |

I keep reading about these outages and I haven't had one either. I wonder if the system is down in certain areas, does the Vonage talk tool still work? |

You can call PC to PC (don't have to be Vonage users) or you can use your PC to call other Vonage customers on their phone. This is great for travelers and this way you don't need a soft phone. Only thing is you can't receive phone to pc calls.

In NYC (a Verizon stronghold, BTW), our service was affected intermittently over the past 4-5 days. Callers were sent immediately to VM after 0-1 ring and simulring was totally down. Outgoing was only a little better, as system was too busy to complete calls from Vonage lines 90% of time. The best temporary solution that we found was turning off Vonage VM and unconditionally forwarding all calls. That seems to be working a lot better for now. |

I have not tried pc to pc talk yet, although I have done video chats. I guess it is something I need to look into. |
