beesknee I just ported my business number back out of
Vonage
to a cell phone. Not the ideal situation but I no longer have an office in the exchange the number came from. Everything went well but
Vonage
dragged it's feet as much as possible and took the full 10 business days to do it.
The kind of nice thing was that it ported over at night so there was no problem of lost calls and even though I was getting calls on the cell phone my
Vonage
account was still active and caller id showed my business number when calling out. With
Vonage
you have to call and cancel the service or this will keep happening but it's an option you may want to keep available.

Bellatrix I agree it won't sink that fast but in the last 6 weeks I've had 3 major phone outages, not ISP related outages but
Vonage
related outages, during which I lost business because the number did not forward to the network availability number in the account.
Its been even worse in the last 2 weeks with 3 other outages that at least forwarded to the network availability number.
In the last three weeks
Vonage
should have been doing everything humanly and inhumanly possible to keep customers ESPECIALLY business customers. I couldn't afford to keep my number with them any longer. I still have my home & secondary business lines with
Vonage
but my main line has to be up 100% of the time and that didn't happen with
Vonage
.

Well I just read that for the first time and tried it, and I got the recorded message about entering the number, pressing #, got a confirmation, etc., then tried calling my
Vonage
line from another phone, and it doesn't transfer. I waited 5 minutes too, still the same.
Is this another useful but secret
Vonage
feature like the 800 number on V-Access that was a secret until someone published it here in the forum, then
Vonage
pulled the plug on it?

Well a lot of
Vonage
customers here including myself...was able to have call forwarding work using those codes.
Give it some time, if still it doesn't work call Tech Support 888-288-7434 (tier1) so they could do it for you if you are having trouble accessing your account online.
