If
Vonage
ever did switch my service off (which wont happen) I would be ok because I still have a PSTN line that supports my ADSL connection, my parents only have a cable modem, so I would have to run around and get them connected with somebody else, which would be a shame as they like it too......my mum spends so much time on the phone and they have never had it so cheap, at £7.99/mo incl tax (VAT) for unlimited UK calls 'Its a Steal' as we would say in England!!

Post subject: Hey DUH
Redundant, sorry
I hope after the dust settles we will all have a better
Voip
service,
the
Vonage
service has been dismal at best.

Does anybody know if
Vonage
adapters are compatible with other
Voip
services? I am in Mexico now and trying to sign up with another company and getting a new adapter shipped to me here I am sure would be nothing short of a big headache and expense. I am trying to do my homework now just in case I do need to jump ship. I have been a customer for 11 months and the last 6 months I have been using the service from Mexico. I must say that I have been a very satisfied customer and I do hope I can continue to use
Vonage
in the future.

My question is how are companies like Comcast, TomatoVine and SunRocket getting away unscathed. Is Verizon just picking on
Vonage
because they have been doing it publicly the longest?

Wow, how awful! I Intend to stick with
Vonage
until the very end, which I hope there is no end to
Vonage
. I do not know the legality of this case, but I am truly annoyed with the judge and highly ticked off with Verizon.
Vonage
, I am with you all the way!

Not ruling out the possiblity of more bad news to come (and consdering the serious problems we've had in the past few weeks) I had another look at AT&T's CallVantage service. Get this. You can get an unlimited local & long distance line for $24.99. You can get an unlimited local line for $19.99 but all long distance calls are 4c/min.
OR.... (pay attention to the math).... you can spend $49.99 and get one unlimited line, and one local line with 500 minutes of long distance.
Huh??? Why not just get 2 x unlimited = $49.98, thereby getting unlimited long distance on BOTH lines while saving a penny each month.

I wonder how many suckers fall for that bogus offer. Leave it to AT&T to find ways of screwing its customers.

Post subject: Contingency Plan
Is it possible to port your
Vonage
number to POTS?
I like my
Vonage
service and hope not to have switch, but I feel like it would be prudent to start to think about some of these things.
