Well, while you guys all came up, we just went down in NY (845). I just got a cell call from the wife this morning (Friday @ 11am eastern) about our phone saying "no network connectivity" or "not provisioned" when you pick up the receiver.

My account also has the "we know some of you have no dial tone" message as well.

I found this thread by Googling "This telephone line cannot be registered on the network".

My line just went out about an hour ago. I had made two calls to a toll free number in Canada that went through fine. A few minutes later I tried again and got the message about the line not working. I can log into my Vonage account with no problem. The two calls showed up fine in the logs.

Based on the previous posts here it looks like most outages were for 2-6 hours. I called tech support and after a long wait got someone who seemed to know his stuff. He confirmed that I'm not on the server undergoing maintenance, and that my modem settings looked OK from his end. I got cutoff when he attempted to call me though, and apparently hit a wrong button on my cell phone when it rang ( I thought I was on hold), so didn't get the callback. The next tech I called told me that they already know about my problem and engineers are working on it, it should be fixed soon.

If it happens to anyone else, my advice would be to contact Vonage either by phone or through the Control Panel on the web so that they know your number is affected. Then wait patiently, (more or less). Also post here so people can get an idea how common this is. I'm guessing it's a new issue.

Bonus: less than 30 minutes after my first call to tech support, my line is working again. Somewhere between 90 and 120 minutes of downtime.
