NateHoy is correct. Using a patch cord less than 3 ft long will cause serious unreliability and many headaches. If anyone happens to be making their own, as I do, make sure you measure. I keep an unmade length cut to 3'6" just for that purpose. |

This story could be completely false, but for some reason I believe it:
A customer called in and told a Tier2 tech (sitting next to me) that a Tier1 tech told him to submerge his device in water to cool it down. Funny thing is the device actually worked after doing a hard reset.
Please, whatever you do, don't submerge your device in water. really.  |
