New Development:
After some period of time the Vonage device loses capacity to tx voice data. Calls ring in and out, but no voice tx occurs. Doing a packet trace while this condition exists shows traffic between Vonage server and WAN2 server despite the protocol-binding rules, and whether or not there are Inbound/Outbound service rules.

My WAN1 ISP is BellSouth. WAN2 ISP is Comcast.

The Vonage device is bound to WAN1 so there should never be any call traffic over the Comcast link, but capturing WAN2 packets during a call (when the error condition exists) shows significant transmission from Vonage servers to Comcast servers - mostly RTP, but some SIP as well.

What's interesting is that if I power-down the Vonage device and leave it off for some period of time, then power it up and make a call all traffic remains on WAN1. I see no packets on WAN2. But after some period of time something gets confused and call packets end up on the WAN2 port where they never reach the device and I can no longer make calls.

At the request of Netgear Tech Support I loaded firmware v 1.1.33 and reenabled load balancing. Preliminary testing shows that protocol binding now works as intended. I have been able to successfully conduct Vonage calls by binding the Vonage device IP address to a single WAN port. No Voip call packets appear in the secondary WAN port.

I have more testing to do in order to determine if load balancing mode is the best choice for day-to-day operations, but preliminary results are promising.

I've yet to start experimenting with VPN configuration (the reason I bought the FVA124G) so we will see how that may affect overall performance under laod balancing.

Oh, another improvement in firmware 1.1.33 seems to be SIP compliance. I did not have to do all the SIP disabling that was required in 1.1.30. Overall, 1.1.33 seems to have resolved most of the major issues with the router.
