These two guys know more about Vonage tech than, well, Vonage tech
"One of them goes by the user name of Steve48. He's more of a generalist, but is an expert on all things Vonage except- just perhaps- for networking issues. This dude has made more than 3,500 posts-quality and quantity."
"I've observed Vonage Forum Members who have benefited from the expertise of NateHoy. Not only is this guy quick to offer expert advice on general Vonage issues, but his deep knowledge of networking as it relates to Vonage is both generously given and contained in several how-to articles linked from the Vonage Forum site. He's starting to close in on 2,000 posts." |

I don't work for Vonage. If I did, I could help people with problems related directly to Vonage. Sadly, I cannot.
I found this forum as a Vonage customer back in October of 2005, found some good advice here that got me started fixing my problem, and decided to stick around and help other people with their problems.
We've had some talented people around here over the last couple of years, and some of them have been Vonage employees, but I don't think Vonage is encouraging their employees to participate in the forum any more. Shame, really, since one good Vonage rep here could save them a lot of phone calls. But I can understand them not wanting to have anyone go "on record" in a public forum like this. |

I have no connection with Vonage other than as a customer and forum participant. Like Nate, I came here looking for guidance and decided to stick around. |

There are people who help people without asking for anything in return. Although nowadays you could rarely find one, I am happy few of these people are here.
Two thumbs up to you guys! |

My only gripe with the article is that the "singled out" praise is undeserved. There are, have been, and will continue to be many, many people who have contributed to the site.
In my case, you could certainly say that my contributions have been, err, inconsistent. I come, I contribute, I go away for a while. What can I say? I've got a day job, one that has me traveling. When things get busy, obviously vonage-forum is one of the first things to get shoved to the back burner. I don't get paid for it, and I prioritize the things I DO get paid for. |

NH, I'd be shocked if you prioritized those STUFFS that doesn't provide food in the table. You'd have to be a Saint then or you're in a big diet.
Kidding aside, yes the subject should be Thank you to those who cared to care and amongst em are "blah-blah" etc..
But then, at least now you know people appreciate the contributions you've made here & they helped a lot of people. |
