it is my understanding that all upgrades will be done remotely by Vonage themselves. Linksys does not provide the download, because they dont own the code to the firmware (propriotary to Vonage network).
This is smart for Vonage, knowing they can admin the router (via MAC address connection) and we (end users) do not have the ability to "F" up the configs.
My only concern is setting up static routing for my internal network, then having the config wiped out my a firmware upgrade. I have only had the router online for 2 days now, but based on a earlier post, it doesnt appear Vonage is contacting the customer prior to upgrading firmware, which is not cool. |

Nope it's locked to Vonage , that's a shame it's pretty nice |

The update to the firm just happened. I did not request it. It was done remotely from their (Vonage's server). Now if they could just transfer my phone number  |
