Hi
My partner recently purchased a Linksys RT31P2 with the Vonage service. I am simply shocked by the Voice Quality. close to excellent!!! Now the hard part: We are a business and we need to hook this baby to our PBX/Key System, of that works, we will move ALL but 2 lines to Vonage...
Has anyone hook one of these to a Key System? Ours is a Avaya Partner ACS We also have an old Panasonic 816 in another location..
I plan to conduct the test soon, just wanted to know..

Hook the Router's TA ports to the Key System just like you would a POTS or Centrex circuit, it will act the same way.

I have an Inter-tel Axxent PBX, and Vonage does not work well with it. The problem arises when called hang up before an extension is picked up. This could be because they just hung up, or left a voice mail. In either case, the RT31P2 Linksys Voip Router does not send a recognizable disconnect notice. Thus, the PBX does not know the caller has hung up. Eventually, the system times out, but can leave lines latched for long periods of time.
I am trying to find a work around at the moment. Some PBX's seem to work fine. They acknowledge this as a known problem with no current solution.
