Is anyone else being pushed a firmware update and having dismal performance? My connections keep timing out. Powering down and rebooting the router reverts the firmware to the very stable 1.0.62 for a short while and then I lose connectivity and find 5.01.04 back on the router. I thought we had a stable version. |

I'm still on version 1.00.62 for my WRTP54G. It's been awhile since Vonage has released an updated firmware for the WRTP54G. From the sequence of numbers, (5.01.04) are you sure that Vonage pushed this firmware to your router, or did you at one time manually update the router with an update from the Linksys support site? |

I'll toss my hat in the ring. I started having trouble on 3/22/2006. Router keeps loosing connectivity. Phone light drops and I have no dial tone. Web browsing is very slow with tons of page timeouts. Rebooting the router fixes the issue for a few hours. I have not noticed a firmware push, but I'll pay closer attention next time It freaks out. |

I haven't manually done any updates. Mbarb describes exactly what is happening to me. I have to powerdown and reboot the router to gain access to the internet and or phone service. After this mornings reboot, I show version 5.01.04 on the login page, but 1.00.62 on the rest of the router screens. Very frustrating. |

I just caught the router in the act, here is a screen cap with the firmware version..Has anyone called Vonage about this. I suspect this update is not for this router...

It does appear that the firmware update that's being pushed to your Vonage device is causing the problem. I checked my device and as of this post, I'm still on 1.00.62 on all pages of the routers screen. Contact Vonage support if you haven't already and inquire about this issue you're having with a firmware update being pushed to your device. |

I was able to contact Customer Service; they were able to see that they were pushing out a firmware upgrade but the CSR did not know any details about it. Happily, however, he was able to reverse the roll out and force v1.00.62 back to my router. |

Describes my issue also. I noticed it starting Friday morning. Keep me posted if you find a fix. I'll do the same. |

"brich3" has already provided the fix. Contact Customer Service and have them roll your routers firmware back to 1.00.62. |
