My thinking was that your router was also showing a firmware version other than 1.00.62. Being that others were being pushed a firmware update that was apparently inappropriate for the WRTP54G, I would suggest to you to contact Customer Service to see if there is an issue with your firmware.

You need to look at the version when the router is not working to see the 5.01.04 version listed. When the router is working it shows the correct version.

Knock on wood, my WRTP54G is still at 1.00.62 and has remained there. Of course, in my previous experience, I seem to be on a Sunday night upgrade schedule - so I may see it overnight tonight just in time for my conference calls Monday.... We shall see.

Yes, I see that now. It shows 5.01.04 version listed when it stops working.

My box has been running with the 5.01.04 firmware since late Sunday. I disabled the wireless, rebooted the box and let it sit for a few hours while I went out. When I got home i re-enabled wireless. Since then the box is running fine with the new version

I seem to remember when I first got this box some folks needed to disable wireless to get the latest firmware to install. I did not need to disable wireless back then.

After making a few calls that lasted a total of 40 minutes to Vonage yesterday my router has stayed at version 1.00.62 for 24 hours without rebooting it.

It was hard trying to convey to the folks at Vonage that this new firmware kept loading. According to them 1.00.62 is the release it's supposed to be on.

Although they were very polite, it sounded like the call center was in Indiaa and it was very hard to understand the accent sometimes.

Well, I spoke to soon. This afternoon I have no dial tone, and rebooting the router is not helping. I guess a second call to Vonage is in order Sad Sad

When I called Vonage, I was able to speak to US Call Center Rep. He was able to reverse the push and since then I haven't had any trouble. Total Time on phone to Vonage Customer Care: 12 minutes. Good job Vonage.

I was experiencing the exact problems described above since Friday, and rebooting the router worked a couple of times until this morning. I was told the my router was defective and no longer under warranty and I would need to purchase a new router. I wasn't too happy and spoke to the Cancellation department who is sending me out a new router Very Happy
