My jersey account & Staten Island accounts are coming back up I think. Vonage to Vonage calls are working

My phone is working again, but no voice mail. If my Vonage phone isn't picked up, it just disconnects the call when it should go over into voice mail.

Another weird thing. One of my test calls from my cell phone rang on my Vonage line - a couple of minutes after I placed it!

My Internet connection through BellSouth (part of the new AT&T!) is down. I have no dial tone. I had to call them to report the issue and they hope to have it resolved in 24 - 30 hours.

Would that I could only have an outage that lasts a little around an hour. This makes the third time in a year where we have lost basic dial tone for over a day.

My vonage was down today. I tried to call home twice and i got a fast busy signal. I came home to make sure that the box was working. The wife said calls kept going to the cell phone, but no one was there when she went to answer it.

To be truthful, it was good news to me to see the thread subject "Massive Nationwide Outage". It at least told me it wasn't my local equipment Smile

This whole thing is funny becuase my local cable company (cablevision) sent me a fake pigeon in the mail yesterday to illustrate that if i rely on the phone companys for service I might as well rely on carrier pigeon's
