Multi line Panasonic KX-TG6500 problem

I am switching from Voice Pulse Voip service to Vonage since Vonage can give me a virtual number in PA. Voice Pulse can't. I am waiting since 02-24 for my 2 numbers to be transfered although Voice Pulse says they do not do that.
My problem is my Panasonic KX-TG6500 2 line phone will not work correctly when I plug both lines in from the DLink box from Vonage although I am supposed to have 2 numbers and 2 lines(virtual for now). Currently my Voice Pulse service with a Lynksys box works fine with this phone on both lines.
I have been calling tech support and getting frustrated. Now I am told today Vonage does not work with a 2 line cordless phone.
This phone has line1/2 and then a seperate line 2 jack on it. I suspect this has something to do with the DLink box or something with Vonage lines. I don't get it.
Can anyone give me help on this.

Hello i got a uniden 2 line phone and it has been working for 3 now love it could it be your system ?

Contact Vonage technical support and ask them the ringing voltage and line voltage is that your voice adapter puts out. Then call Panasonic and ask them if that ringing voltage will trip your phone system to ring as well as the line voltage. I have a feeling that Pansonic is too picky here.

Can you get dial tone on the Panasonic from the Vonage box? If so, can you dial out? If someone calls you can you pick up the line and answer the call even if the phone is not ringing? We can troubleshoot more from here.
