Post subject: Belkin wireless router dumps
I have a Motorola SB4200 pushing Roadrunner and the freebie Motorola VT2142
Vonage
adapter. Works great together. Add a Belkin F5D7230 Wireless G adapter to the mix....chaos. IF I get it setup, it drops EVERTHING in 8 hours or so. What am I doing wrong, please???!!!???!!!
I've tried modem to wireless to
Vonage
and modem to
Vonage
to wireless. The only route to success has been modem to
Vonage
to wireless router, but as mentioned earlier, it dumps me about 8-10 hours of inactivity.

I bought a F5D7230-4 and the only way I could get it to
not
lock up was to disable the built-in firewall. If a ran any P2P client the F5D7230-4 would think it was under attack and just fall over.
If possible, exchange it for some other brand. If you can't take it back then the best place for the F5D7230-4 is the bottom of a trash can.

Or call tech support (Tier 2/3) and ask what to do. If the combo of the devices you are using are incompatible they will advise you to hv the device you have exchanged with a different type. If your router is still on warranty you could have it exchanged for no cost as long as you ship
Vonage
back the device you have in exchange for the replacement they're sending you.
