Hi,
When I answer a call waiting call I am automatically in a 3-way conference. That means that the person I was talking with before does hear me answering the caller who interrupted the conversation and vice versa.
I cannot switch back and forth as with regular call waiting and answer the incoming call in privacy.
Anybody else experiencing this?
Thanks,
md500 |

Oddly, I do know of this problem, but it is limited to a VERY small area.
May I ask what state you are in md5000?
And as antipas stated, you should email Vonage CS, be sure to put your account number and a brief discription in the subject line.
Please let us know the outcome.
Good Luck. |

You should email Vonage CS with your account number and a brief discription of the issue in the subject line.
Include other details in the content of the email.
Also, I noticed that dconnor replied to you. He is somewhat of an "inside guy" at Vonage and helps a lot of people out with issues. You should PM him if the problem continues. |

I am also in PA, and I'm having the same problem. Did you get a resolution on this? |

I'm the one that just posted the above reply, but my user name for some reason, when I log in, it says the account has been suspended. I JUST REGISTERED. I don't know how I could be suspended already. |

***This is about the problem with the suspended login, not about the 3-way calling issue***
Don't take it personally - apparently this happens all the time with this forum. I suggest leaving a message in the "Report a bug" section of the forum. Darkwingduck or Antipas usually fix this fairly quickly. |

That simply might mean, its time to change phones. The phone you are currently using might be incompatible with the ATA 186. You can also contact Cisco TAC and see what they have to say. |

This happens with my phone as well. It's pretty strange. |

Hi there:
Call support to be sure there's nothing that needs changed in your ATA configuration, but most likely it's the phone.
I had an ATT with caller id/callwaiting caller id and I loved it -- until the first time I had a call come in. It was the one that either automatically hung up the first call and put you to the second call or did an automatic conference call.
I went through about four desktop phones and a few cordless phones before we got that resolved. Panasonics work. My Motorola cordless works.
