I was doing a search for Voip stuff, and I found one service provider had wake up call service, this would be great to have.

After I posted this wish list, I did a google search and I came across it. I never tried it yet, I will have to see if it works here in Canada.

I use to use telepixie until I signed up with Verizon Voice Wing. They actually don't have it but you can schedule a call back to anyphone number and I use it for that. Works great. I still have Vonage which I will not cancel. I like the call transfer feature to much.

That would be a nice feature but I'd still want a good old fashion alarm clock because wake up call service would work if the power/internet is down. At least my current alarm has battery back-up.

There is a new software product for Voip Wake up calls

Wake up Easy - Voip Service
The “Wake up Easy Voip Service” is an Application that registers as extension to a Voip/IP PBX system and is working as wake up service for your customers. Is necessary service for hotels that use VOIP/IP PBX systems.

What VOIP/IP PBX system I need?
The “Wake up Easy” needs to connect as extension to VOIP/IP PBX system, so you can use any VOIP/IP PBX system that support of course the SIP protocol.

Is it working with 3CX IP Phone System?
Yes its working as a dream with the 3CX IP Phone System.

How my customers can use the wake up service?
The only thing your customer needs to do is to call from their Room the extension number that belongs to the “Wake up easy Voip Service” and to follow the instructions.

How the customers are able to cancel the wake up alarm?
Very easy, the only thing they have to do is to make a ring the service. The Wake up Service recognize the CID and automatically cancel the alarm.

In which language are the Instructions?
The messages playing in English language but you can make your own wav files in any language is necessary for you.

I need more than one language for my customers. Is it possible?
The current version of “Wake up easy Service” does not support Multilanguage functionality. The solution is to install more than one time the application with different extension number.

How many concurrently lines Support?
It depends of the license. The Wake up Easy Service is able to support unlimited concurrently phone calls.

To sheezhot and joephu (and all the VONAGE forum members too!!!)

I see your point but I guess it would be a piece of cake for Vonage to be able to call multiples numbers even when your internet connection it's OFF.
Remember? There is ALREADY a feature that redirects phone calls to other phones (your cellphone for example) when your internet connection is down.

So no biggie.

I would *L*O*V*E* to have the wake up call feature with my VONAGE.
I would like to have the possibilities to select a specific time for a specific time zone and multiple numbers to call so I can even use it while I'm travelling!!!

I missed a flight once because of the "back-up" battery of my alarm clock (it last so little time).
Since then I can't sleep well at night when my flight is early in the morning.
I also have friends calling me to wake me up "just in case"

So my answer is YES, YES, YES!!!

Wake up call is a wonderful feature and an innovative service sucha as VONAGE should definately has it!!!

Please, please, please VONAGE add that!!!

The multiple numbers won't work, but you could use simulring or forwarding if you like. Imagine if I put your number in my alarm call and set for 3 am everyday, so multiple numbers in a no go.

Now just getting Vonage to add it, that is a whole different task in itself. Good luck, ya all.
