Post subject: Pops and Clicks Solved
I was able to solve the pops and clicks heard durning telephone calls by changing my bandwidth saver from Higher to Highest Sound Quality. No more pops and clicks.
After making the change you have to wait a few minutes till the firmware is copied down to your ATA.
After searching and trying everything else this is the only thing that worked. I thought it was my WIFI setup because of my 2.4 phone and WIFI router - that was not it - as some also thought. I thought it was the type of router. I thought it was the Cat 5 wiring. What a simple solution and I would think that it would be added to the FAQ for
Vonage
. It seems there are lots of people that have this issue and not just on
Vonage
.
I am curious if changing the bandwidth is just changing the codec which uses more bandwidth?
