sounds like you are using a wireless router and "borrowing" someone's internet connection. In order to use a wifi phone you need an account with

first, works the same way as a cell phone without an account you just have a cell phone.

Actually I am in a hotel where I only have wireless internet connection. I tried with many configurations but IP phone not working. I connected my ethernet port from the laptop to IP Phone WAN port and the phone line goes from IP phone to phone. Is this configuration ok or do I need to connect the devices some other way or need to do some settings to share and enable ICS on my computer.
Thanks

If the hotel requires you to login with a password - they you would likely need to do that via your laptop. If it only requires you to put in a WEP key - or if it is simply open - than a WiFi phone could be a good choice for you.
