I noticed a stutter dial tone this AM, which was suprising since I didn't recall receiving any voicemail notifications via email. I went to the voicemail page in my Vonage account and there's nothing there.
What's the quickest way to reset the stutter tone? Reboot? Leave myself a voicemail and delete it? It's just a minor thing, but it's bothering me. |

If you deleted your last VM via the web page then go back and besure it is deleted out of the trash folder. I always have to delete the darn thing twice to get rid of the stutter tone. |

I am have the VM dial tone, but nothing in my In Box. I also don't seem to have a Trash folder (or any folder for that matter) in the folder dropdown on the website. |

Leave yourself a voice mail and delete it. |

I decided to call up my number and access VM that way. I had 3 messages listed as new that I had reviewed online (and no longer appears anywhere on the web interface). I deleted them from there and all was well. I will leave myself a message and see if that changes anything on the interface and/or causes the problem again if I don't listen to them locally.
I shouldn't *need* to listen/delete them locally if I manage them online do I? |

My best friend also has Vonage and sometimes when she leaves me a message, I will listen and delete it but I can't get the beeping to stop.
I called Vonage and they gave me the same advice given above, to leave a new message and delete it, but that didn't work.
What did work was for my friend (or another Vonage customer) to leave me another message. When I deleted that message, the beeping stopped.
Hope this helps! |

I called voicemail from my phone - as it turns out, a message that I had deleted from the voice mail web page was still showing up as a New message over the phone.
Once I deleted the message from the VM box I no longer get the stutter dialtone.
I guess the web and phone message databases get out of sync once in a while. |

One last thing I remember from long ago: Make sure you ALWAYS exit the voicemail when you call in by pressing "#". I had the same problem , and that fixed me instantly, once I started doing that consistently. |

Actually, to exit voicemail you press "*".
I almost never call voicemail since we the VM messages are forwarded to both our emails through GMail. Within a day or so after receiving a voicemail I go to the online account info and delete from there. This is the first time in a year that the online voicemail became un-synced from the dial-up voicemail. |
