i have a D-Link VTA-VR for a while now and im quite pleased with it. my old box was a Linksys PAP2. the PAP2 still works but its locked to Vonage. i purchased the PAP2 from a retailer. since i am using the D-Link as my primary adapter, can Vonage let me use my old PAP2 that is not in use currently with another provider? |

I believe the Linksys PAP2 is a version of the Sipura SPA-2000. There are people out there who claim they can unlock it and they may be able to. Personally, I wouldn't do it. First, too many adapters out there and most are free or cheap with service. And second, I prefer Vonage so why worry about it? I have had my PAP2 since 2005 and had zero problems (knock on wood). In fact, I have a version 1.0 of the WRT54G. No problems. Since Vonage gave me the PAP2 for free I have no problem with it being locked. |
