Does anyone have a security system monitoring service other than Alarm.com while using only Vonage? |

I have the same monitoring service that I had before I switched from BellSouth to Vonage. |

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, Bellsouth is not available here in Beaufort S.C. |

I have my alarm system and it works well with Vonage. I'm in
Tampa and had Verizon. The alarm company gets the signal everytime I test the system weekly. I've had them for 3 years now. |

Check out ucontrol This advanced home security service works over three communication channels - broadband, digital cellular and traditional phone lines. It also allows you to remotely control and access your existing alarm system via the web or your cell phone. The best part is their monitoring fees start at $19.95 per month. You can choose a month to month or contract plan. |

I have a rollins system 6 which only uses pulse dialing to the monitoring center, and is not upgradeable through ADT. To get it to work correctly with Vonage (or other voip providers) I found a pulse to tone converter for about $30.00 from paradox systems.
Also, keep in mind that you want your alarm to be the FIRST device in the phone loop. If for some reason your on the phone or left it off hook when an alarm trips, if the alarm is not the first in the loop, it won't be able to "flash" the line and gain control.
However, about 2 months ago, the alarm system was failing to dial out. After trouble shooting the problem, I found that Vonage is to some degree supporting pulse dialing. They won't admit it though for some reason.
Good Luck |

I have an Ademco Lynx security system monitored by SafeMart.com . They have very reasonable prices on new security systems, and will do the programming for a small charge. They also monitor existing security systems. A year of prepaid monitoring is $9 per month.
FWIW I have Vonage on a WRTP54G router/TA, connected to a UStec iLan phone distribution panel, with the panel's RJ31X port connected to my Ademco LYNXRPK-EN security system. I'm using the Line 2 port of the TA, after a lightning strike zapped the Line 1 port. |
