Post subject: Unanswered FAX line notifications?
When the FAX line is working through the ATA, I can check the caller ID display on the FAX machine even if the machine failed to answer. The issue arises when the FAX line is not up for any reason (e.g., local network, ISP,
Vonage
, or power co. problems). Is there any way to list unanswered calls? The
Vonage
web interface only lists calls that actually connected. Simulring and SIP credentials are both unavailable for
Vonage
FAX lines, so I haven't been able to think of a way to list the calls remotely either. Any ideas?

Don't know if call forwarding or voicemail features are available on faxline but if they are then here are two ideas:
1. You get the voice-mail service on the FAX line. The fax call will be answered by the voicemail server when unreachable and the fax will fail but you will at least get a notification/email regarding the missed calls. You can also access the list by logging into your account.
2. You could setup call forwarding on this fax-line when not reachable and forward the call to some free fax providers who will send you fax via email. You can get a free personal fax number from
www.efax.com.
