FAX line versus voice line

Are there any technical differences between a Vonage FAX line and a Vonage Voice line? I'm painfully aware of the feature differences (e.g., no Network Availability Number, forwarding or bandwidth selection for the FAX). What I'm wondering is whether I should upgrade my FAX account to a basic account in order to get those features, or if I'd be losing something else in the process. Are there any real differences?

I think the fax lines default to maximum bandwidth and perhaps some other settings that are best for fax, but I don't think there's much to it. If you want the features and don't mind the cost difference, I'd go for it.
