I'm having an intermittent problem with the Motorola VT1005V dropping off when I boot up my computer. It is now doing it every couple of hours and have to reboot the Vonage modem.

Cable company is Shaw.
Cable Modem: SB5101 - Motorola
Vonage Modem: Motorola VT1005V
Router: Wireless wrt54gx4 linksys

Any suggestions?

Any chance your Vonage VT1005V and your computer have the same MAC address (was your VT at any point used as your router, and did you turn on "MAC Address Cloning" on the VT?

Two devices on the same network with the same MAC address = guaranteed problems.

I heard from some of my friends that they had the same issue and after troubleshooting with lot of agents Vonage tier 2 are able to fix it.I'd give that a shot.This is a good device.

Thank you for your responses. The mac addresses are different. I did unplug everything and reconnected it all and I haven't had the internet or phone drop out since. I am experiencing problems with phone quality now though.
