Yesterday afternoon I signed up for the service and got a temp number till my real number is moved over to Vonage. When I try to call my temp number I get a phone company recording saying the number does not work. Can anyone suggest why this maybe?
Is it just to early to test the number, or is it because I don't have my ATA setup yet, or another reason?
Or do I need to do something in the dashboard?
Thanks for any help you can give.

To answer my own question, I called tech support , and he said the temp number will not work till I plug in my ATA, which should arive Monday or Tuesday.
FYI- Support so far was good. I held for about 5 mins (Not bad for tech support) and he answered all my questions ...

It shows a one minute call, but I thought that was me, as it has my number as the from and too. Could have been them though.. Also at the same time and numbers is in the dialed listed.

See, in the past, Vonage would make a test call. From that point forward, you could use the number, forward it, send it to voicemail... all via Dashboard.
Must be that they are configuring them differently now.
