Slow internet speeds... adjusting Vonage settings?

Can I ask what makes it look like the problem is the Airport? Just curious... most of this looks like Greek to me! Surprised

Here is why the problem resides with the airport.

With the airport your speed was:

Speed test statistics
---------------------
Download speed: 3061080 bps
Upload speed: 364440 bps

with the rtp300 your speed was:

Speed test statistics
---------------------
Download speed: 14212984 bps
Upload speed: 364256 bps

As you can see the upload speed was similar and so not an issue but your download was significantly lower 14,212,984 versus 3,061,080 almost lower by 4 times. That's only 25% of the total download speed you could be getting with only the rtp300.

I hope this makes sense.

The other stuff helps with quality issues such as choppy audio etc but your issue was download speed.

OK, thanks... that does make sense.

I just ran the test with the modem hooked up to the computer directly, without the router OR the rtp300:

Download speed: 14859592 bps
Upload speed: 363352 bps

So I guess it's back over to the Apple forums I go! Wink

yup, from the last results, it makes clear that the rtp300 is giving you advertised speeds.

hope they can help you configure your airport so that it gives you the speed you are paying for.
