Hey Shower, I haven't experienced anything like that, you running wireless? or was there any electrical storm activity in your area. Perhaps one of the Vonage guru's reading this can help out.
I am going to assume that you have your router is password protected, because if you don't what your hearing could be your neighbor tapping into your connection. Perhaps some bleed over on whatever frequency your using, I really am no expert in the field but if the problem is intermitten it could be just some freak occurence. Please let me know what you come up with, the only time I every heard any other voices on my telephone was when I was using a hardline and AT&T said it was done by accident at the switching station. I haven't had that happen but I have been on the phone with a friend and heard little kids voices and have also heard others voices too. It is only very quick and then it is gone. It doesn't happen all the time. My friend lives several towns away (about an hour drive) if that matters at all. I have only noticed it when she calls. She doesn't have kids and lives alone. I've asked about the mysterious voices but she doesn't hear them on her end of things. I also have a wireless phone. My router is wireless too because I had a laptop for awhile. I don't use it as a wireless router anymore. It is plugged into my desk top. I had it password protected on my laptop but had to return the laptop because it was defective. I don't know about password protected now.
