I have the vtech 5.8 GHz Digital box for my phone. If I run the ethernet cable to from the cable modem to my phone base into the computer I cannot get the phone to work OR the internet to work. But If I go straight from the cable modem to the back of my computer the internet works just fine. Is cox cable blocking my Vonage or something? Confused Please advise as to how to fix this annoying problem.

hi,
its not that cox cable is causing a problem, i beleave you have to reconfigure that device, as cox normally uses a mac authentification u can go into that router and do a mac clone, that should fix it

what is the make and model no of the cable modem......check the connections and try to do the MAC address clone in the V-tech by logging into the interface page.......in order to login to the V-tech page.....connect the computer to it -->Launch the browser page-->type 192.168.15.1-->put the username and password as vtech
