Vonage has arguably the worst customer service of any company out there. Obviously there is a major outage this morning and what do they do? Send all of the calls to a message that no one is there to take calls.

I've already removed my vonage fax line after more than 5 hours on the phone with support. Maybe it is time to remove them all.

Gosh - I'm not sure if I rather deal with bad english overseas or with NJ attitude !!! I got thru to their NJ call center and gosh - they are being obnoxious and rude !

Their answer to the problems is "It's rare but it can happen"

No ETA as to when it would get fixed..

It's insane !

Right now i can make outbound calls but incoming calls just do nothing. I tried from my cell and I don't get an error, a ring or anything. I just get dropped after about 10 seconds.

Incoming is still down...

"This line is not in service"

If you have a business that depends on this, you should know who to call !!!

Just an update - I'm able to reach the Vonage website and log in. There was no mention of the outage.

********------------Note from Vonage rep-----------************

Which is me.

There is a major outage right now with Vonage. Incoming calls are intermittent, and lines are failing to register and get dial tone.

Please do not call in as call volume is very high. They are working on it, and the outage most likely due to the ice storm here in New Jersey.

All Vonage lines came back up about 10:00 EST. Seems like whatever it was has been fixed.

Even their web server can't take the load - wanted to set up forwarding/simulring/voicemail just in case any of those would work, but now the web site seems dead...

No.

Lines are failing intermittently, and a automated message has now been posted.

It's affecting inbound AND outbound calling.

Use your head...Pretty much every single vonage user is going to the website for info, that is overloading the servers...Make sense?
