Just because it snows here doesn't mean that
Vonage
should be in the crapper...
South Jersey in the area where Vonage's HQ is had light amounts of snow - nothing I'd say would cause any outtages. However these guys should have redundancy networks setup to not allow this to happen.
I used to pay a hosting company in Florida for our Company's web sites to be run off of. Even during 3 hurricanes they NEVER went down. And that's just a web site.
When it rains it pours with Vonage... FYI DIALTONE back up and running now... (but it doesn't complete the calls)

I'm down here in Colorado. I can't log into the
Vonage
web page either.
ETA: VT1005 light just went solid and have dial-tone again.
...for now.
I still can't login to change my OOS phone number or features changes.

Post subject: No dialtone
We have the same issue here in Hampton, VA. Network is operational but no dialtone from
Vonage
. I cannot even get their support on the phone as "all circuits are busy". The
Vonage
website is not responsive either.

Yup, still no service here in North Jersey.
I am calling the local phone company today. As long as they can take my number over, I am dropping
Vonage
ASAP. This is the 3rd time in a month that I have lost service on both my phone and fax lines. I work from home, so this is huge.

outgoing works fine, but no incoming. And they are NOT being rerouted to my cell...
Callers are getting 'This call cannot be completed as dialed'.
If I had a business, I'd be suing their arses off...

Ditto here in southeast PA... No
Vonage
service, and I can't reach the
Vonage
website. This last bit is surprising... Even if the whole
Vonage
phone network is dead, it should have no bearing on their web site.
And if it does; it shouldn't. The
Vonage
website is the first logical place people would go to get information about an outage.

I kinda doubt that a little snow would cause this issue. these are usually server related problems or software related. Especially since it impacts so many around the country, I would think that this is not a hardware issue.

OK, now this is really weird! The
Vonage
line just rang and the callerID displayed is the name & number of the analog line I used to try calling the
Vonage
line 15 minutes ago. Of course, if I answer the
Vonage
line, there's nobody on the other end because I made those calls 15 minutes ago! It's like the Twilight Zone. So far, I've received a half dozen of these "calls from the past."
If only I could take advantage of this time warp to tell the old me something important, such as who would win the World Series. But alas, it only goes back in time 15 minutes and I can't talk to the old me. Perhaps the
Vonage
research team is on the verge of a time travel breakthrough and they've accidentally run a test on the production servers!

F this crap...
#1 - as far as I know - Verizon or any telco cannot take BACK a number that's gone to a company like
Vonage
or your Cable providers'
Voip
solution... dunno why -but that is what I was told
#2 - I tried calling my
Vonage
line from my Verizon one and get this - that was over 20 minutes ago... Now what I'm getting is that the number i called from is showing up on the Caller ID and ringing the
Vonage
line just once. HOWEVER WHAT"S GREAT IS THAT I'M NOT EVEN ON THAT LINE (The verizon one) TO MAKE THE CALL... already done it 5 times like every 2 minutes for last 10 minutes...
