I tried calling my Vonage line from my cell a few times. Sometimes get "not accepting calls" recording, sometimes Cingular drops the call attempt. Then about 15 minutes I get a series of incoming calls with one one there but CID registers my cell phone number! Just got another one as I type this!

I have dialtone and can call out. Weird!

On the dashboard after logging in I see this:
Service Announcements
At this time some customers are experiencing intermittent issues making and receiving calls. This also may affect calling features such as Call forwarding, Voicemail, etc. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are working towards resolving it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience in this matter and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

What a mess!

Rather presumptuous, as may of us are neither patient nor understanding. My patience is gone, and speaking as a network-responsible person by trade (ISP senior admin) my head would roll if the services I'm responsible for were down this long. It would demonstrate that I had not properly done my job building redundancy to survive major failures.

So given the level at which Vonage supposedly operates, in the absence of an RFO from them, I am not going to be understanding.

Seems to be the same in Central Florida. Just heard Vonage is hit by a nationwide outage.

Can't even dial in to home and have routed to my network availability number. I just get High low tones.

not working here in London Ontario either, nor my SC virtual number..

wife's at home, she says she can dial out, but the person on teh other end can't hear her.. I can't call either number from work, I just get "the number you have dialed is not in service"

No inbound calls, Vonage "Customer Care" says "No one is available, call back later". Vonage corporate office numbers do not work and the Vonage web site is so slow it is almost useless. I am not happy.

Just spoke the customer service again for the 2nd time today concerning this problem. Was told by the lady that spoke terrible english that they """May""" have things up in a couple of hours. This is not a good sign for customers such as myself who use the business plan, and count on our phones to make a living. HMMM,, maybe Packet8 was the better option,, ,oh well ..

Just noticed my Vonage line down as well (Phoenix, AZ.) I tried to call home from my cell and keep getting what sounds like a busy signal (ever since the invention of call waiting, I've pretty much forgotten what a busy signal sounds like, hehe.)

I was able to receive a voicemail from the Vonage line to my cell phone tho.

Normally I'd flip out and go postal on Vonage, but this is the first time I've noticed an outage in probably over a year, so I'll hold off on murder for at least a little while longer =)

Full service just returned here in Charlotte, NC. I don't know if it will remain up but just received an incoming call. What concerns me is the fact that during the outage, callers to my number were receiving a message to the effect that the line was had been canceled or was no longer in use. Made it sound like my line was canceled for failure to pay the bill or I closed up shop and simply slipped away. Not good for my pr image.
