HP 7310 - receiving fax problems

Has anyone been able to resolve the problems with receiving faxes on the HP 7310?

I dont think the HP 7310 has a problem in receiving faxes. TRY THESE STEPS :

1) On the back of Fax machine - Make sure the telephone cord is conn from LINE JACK ( OR ) Picture which says to Wall - is conn directly to Vonage adapter phone port.

2) I am not sure if u have a dedicated Fax line or voice line.

3) Make sure u dont use any splitters in b/w the Adapter & fax machine

SETTINGS IN FAX MACHINE :
1) Set Auto Answer Mode on - There should be a light on the top of the fax machine. Make sure u try toggling it by pressing the button & see if light comes on

2) Goto setup --> Basic Fax setup --> Set Rings to answer to 2 or 3 rings.

3) Goto setup --> Advance Fax setup --> Set Ring pattern to ANY OR ALL RING & Set Error Correction Mode --> OFF.

4) Make sure the Fax resolution is set to Standard --> Usually by pressing the Menu button - u can see a option to change ( Default is fine )

Test your fax by sending to 1-888- ( hpfaxme ) or ( 1-888-4732963 ) .. This is an automated system to test Outbound faxes & will send a reply within 5 to 10 minutes. ( One way to test both Outbound & inbound faxes );

5 ) If it does not work.

changing speed ( also called as baud rate ) of Fax machine can fix..
