Heres my network: Comcast Cable modem hooked to Belkin pre-n router transmitting wirelessly to my computer (in a shop next to house) with a pre n wirelesss card, I made the wireless card a shared connection and bridged my ethernet card, pluged in a Linksys wireless G router (model wrt54gs) to the ethernet port on my computer, then plugged in the motorola VT2142 adapter into that router. Have good dial tone, but when I make or recieve a call its broken up... have spent more than 4 hours on the phone with vonage tech, belkin tech, and comcast tech, with no results. my upload speed is over 350mbps on the wireless connection and I have never had a problem surfing the net in the past even running multiple explorer pages. I have plugged the vonage adapter into the cable modem direct and it works great, then I plug it into the belkin router and I get a broken up phone call. I'm pretty sure its in the belkin router, I have enabled the DMZ on both routers still no luck... any ideas???? Thanks in advance. DJ |

hi,
you said when you connect your adapter to belkin audio is breaking up.These belkin routers have spi firewalls and try disabling that.your router will still be secured since it is NATed.update if it works.

Have you set up QoS in the Belkin to favor the VT2142? |

After disabling the SPI firewall on a Belkin you MUST restart the Belkin router. The firewall changes do not take affect until after. Never had to setup QOS with the Belkin before, but if that worked for you then all the more good. |
