RT31P2 behind DI-624 (FIOS)- cant get access network

Here's my setup:

DI-624----->a few computers
|-----> RT31P2 connected via internet jack

The Vonage phone works fine and has been working fine for a long time. Now I would like to connect another computer to the back to the RT31P2. I have tried several things, I tried turning off DHCP on the RT31P2, tried both having the DI-624 connect to the internet port and then tried connecting to port 1. At this point I'm not compleletly sure what I have tried and havent tried.

What I would like to do is to connect another computer to the back of the RT31P2 and connect to the net and my other computers on the network.

Can anyone offer any help?

If I am understanding your post correctly, you are having trouble connecting to the network with the computers behind the DI-624 while this computer is connected behind the rt31p2.

I believe the main reason for this problem is b/c your DI-624 is working on a different subnet than you rt31p2.

Your DI-624 should be 192.168.1.xxx while your rt31p2 is 192.168.15.xxx hence computers on these two separate subnets cannot communicate with each other easily.

What you need to do is to give your rt31p2 a new ip address within the 192.168.1.xxx subnet. Then disable it's dhcp so that your computer connected behind the rt31p2 gets its ip address from your DI-624.

You can check to see that it is getting its ip address from your DI-624 by running ipconfig.

If that doesn't work, then you can try "bridge mode". Turn off DHCP in the RT31P2. Then run a cable from the DI-624 to a LAN port on the RT31P2. Run another cable from a second LAN port on the RT31P2 to the WAN port on the RT31P2. Connect your computer to the third LAN port on the RT31P2.
