Post subject: error reads files corrupt
well when i connect the v-phone to my computer it detects it but then it says to exit the running softhone instance and click retry to update softphone. then the kepad screen came up but instead of reading "ready to talk" it read "files corrupt". i have tried to call customer service but they are no help. i am in the military and overseas and that is the only means of comm. i have to my family. thank you so much.

Have you any istalled any application from internet which needs you to dial out & connect to any system. Some times if you are having SKYPE installed on the Same PC. this can be an issue. If this has worked earlier & Now having issue then. TRY THESE STEPS :
1) Try installing the adapter on a diff COMPUTER just to duplicate the issue
2) Turn on the PC, Disable the Windows firewall & disable any Security softwares like NORTON or ZONE ALARM etc
3) Conn the VPHONE & wait untill it gets install. If it get the display Ready to call then. its an issue with your PC. If still same error. Maybe the Files have got corrupted. You may have to replace the device.
