I had the Motorola router, which had great voice quality but poor routing. I tried all the routing combos, giving up QoS for better routing with my own router and visa-versa. Bottom line, I needed better routing with QoS, so I got the Linksys router from Vonage. Well, the routing is great, but the voice quality is not as good. I hear the faint broadcast of a radio stations on all my calls and my Tivo/DirecTV cannot call out. Bottom line: Motorola has better voice quality and Linksys has better routing capabilities.

Who knows? I spoke with someone at Vonage the other day that said they were happy with the Linksys/Cisco gear and that was it. So . . . . .

I wouldn't hold your breath. They seem to be basking in their new found glory and content.

The linksys is 100 times better than that motorola. It's very simalar to the Sipura SPA-2000 that VoicePulse uses. Which is cool because you can threeway calls while the line is still ringing, which is just like how threewaying on a real copper landline works. And they are giving out the linksys NOT the Cisco. They haven't used Cisco in a long time now.

edit: Oh wait nevermind i forgot this Linksys is powered by Cisco. It's really odd because this is the same as the Sipura SPA-2000. Oh well this still much better that the motorola. For one thing at least when you make 3 way calls you can actually hang up on the person and continue to make 3way calls. The motorola was too damn buggy

I don't know about the PAP2, but if you get a linksys box, don't use it as a router, your luck will be hit or miss on how stable it is.

Some people get perfect uptime with them, some get constant disconnects (like I do) -- either way, it's annoying as hell.

I had allot of problems suddenly, I was running a Toshiba modem, motorola Voip , and a linksys router. Everything was great for about 5 mos. then the phone would cut out, etc. coinsedently Comcast upped their speed at that time, so first I got the linksys wrt54gp2 broadband router with 2 phone ports, go rid of the old router and motorola Voip, some change but not perfect, second upped my Comcast speed to gold for $10 a mo. now I'm getting 4500 - 6000 download speeds and 730-750 upload, phone is better, third replaced the Toshiba modem with a motorola 5100
now everything seems perfect (only been 2 days though) If I were to do it again I'd start with the modem , the toshiba was several years old and didn't support the new docsys 2 standard which I think Comcast now uses

Dude you're speeds are find.
If you had a 1mbit down and 384k up that would still be more than enough for Vonage and 3waying and some web surfing. You got awsome speeds , you could do threeway call and gaming at the same time with those speeds!
I only have a 3mbit down and 780k up
