I have been trying for two days to get my fax machine to send and receive faxes but with no success so far. Does anyone have a fax machine that works on Vonage? Did you have problems getting it to work? If so, what did you do to fix it? |

I currently have a fax machine that works sending faxes, I've never tried to receive on it yet.
Didn't have to do anything special to get it to work |

I have had a dedicated FAX line from Vonage for over two years and it works fine. I have a FAX machine hooked to it full time and can also switch it to any of my computers to send or receive a FAX via computer. It didn't take any special setting up either. |

I have an HP Office Jet 720 that shares my Volnage voice line. It works fine and was never a problem. |

When I signed up with Vonage in February 2006, I ported my two lines, one being my primary line, the other my fax line. Both were technically voice lines w/ SBC; I just used line 2 for dedicated faxing. I've never once had any problems with sending or receiving faxes on my Canon Multipass.
Because of this, I find it amazing that Vonage often tries telling folks that they can't use a voice line for faxing. |

Hey,
I feel your pain, I have a Dell AIO942, I am unable to send or recieve faxes. My computer has a built in modem, and worked with Verizon phone service. I have been told by Vonage staff that faxing does not work with their service??????[I] |

We recently Transported our fax line to Vonage, it works BUT is having some trouble to send faxes more than 3 or 4 pages. After reaching the 3rd or 4th page it fails and we have to resend. Looking around someone asked us to use the *99 option that forces (or reminds) this line to switch to DATA mode.
Can anyone confirm this, and is a Vonage FAX line supposed to do this all the time automatically?

We are also in the Satellite TV business, and many of our customers use Vonage connected to Dish Network or DIRECTV receivers. A file for this option is on our website, located at http://www.dbstv.com/u_dish_network/Improving_Voice_over_IP.pdf

Thanks |

I read on another Voip forum that making the following changes to your fax machine fixes the problem.
Turn off Error Correcting Mode (ECM) Set the fax speed to Slow
Sure enough, I made these changes on my cranky HP 7210 all in one and I was able to fax out without any problems. |

I have an HP 3310 on a dedicated Fax line that works. It took a little bit of adjusting to get it to work and a call to Vonage NJ level 2 tech support, but it works just like a POTS line Fax now! |

Have an HP 3050 that I am using on a Vonage dedicated fax line, that works on the second attempt with these settings ECM - Off Baud rate - 9600 Resolution - Standard Was told that the dialing prefix *99 is not necessary with the WRTP54G Frustrating, but I want to stay with Vonage |
