I have started using the transfer call feature within the last couple of days. However, some of the transfers go through and some don't. I do the same thing: Flash, #90, then the 11 digit number (1-area code-number). I do know it only works on incoming calls and not outbound calls.
On the times that the call doesn't go through, the person on the other end says the call gets dropped, and when I look at my Vonage activity online, it has no record of a call has ever been transferred.
Has anyone else had the same problem?
My Vonage device is the V-Tech IP8100. |

According to the instructions there are 2 ways of transferring a call and it is only intended for incoming calls, after all they called you, you need to transfer the call.
Dial flash, #90, new number, #, then hang up or to announce who is calling when transferring do this:
Dial flash, #90, new number, announce call, dial #, then hang up.
Either you left out the step of pressing the "#" after entering the phone number in your instructions or when you did it. If you left out the step of pressing the "#" then that is an important step. |

You can actually place outbound calls and then transfer the call. I have done that and the call has went through. Sometimes my calls that I transfer that were actually in bound calls do not get transferred either. Vonage needs to do something on the account. I have a previous account with Vonage and they fixed it. Then someitme after that I cancelled and re-signed up and I have the same problem but I am not calling support about this. |
