I put the RT31P2 behind a WRT54G with the latest Linksys firmware. All home network connections are via the WRT54G. I don't have any issues with bandwidth sharing between the computers and the phone. You do have to set uo QoS properly on the router, however. |

I had the Dlink DI-524 before I got Vonage. Haven't had any issues with my setup which you can see in my signature. I made the Dlink a wireless Access Point so that I wouldn't have 2 routers going at the same time. You can see my post here for instructions

you could do this with any other wireless router. |

I'm interested in this setup. How do you set up QoS though (and what is it?) |

Here's how my QoS (Quality of Service) is set up on the WRT54G.
Applications & Gaming tab; QoS sub-tab. QoS to "enable" Upstream Bandwidth: Manual, 220 Kpbs (set to 90% of the measured upstream bandwidth as measured using the bandwidth tool on this website). Device Priority: Ener the MAC address of the Vonage adapter, set priority to "Highest"
Quality of Service allows a given device or application to be given priority for upstream bandwidth. Incoming traffic is out of the control of the router and therefore can't be affected by any user settings.

Belkin's new N1 Mimo wireless router (with latest firmware) works great with my Linksys. I would recommend it any day. |
